Stephen Phillis

Stephen Phillis was born in Scotland in 1947. He studied at the Newport Art College in South Wales and won the City of Cardiff Art Prize in 1970. Painting in both oils and acrylics in an Impressionist-Expressionist tradition, his work centres around old towns, buildings, landscapes and seascapes. Stephen’s work is represented at the Castlemaine Regional Gallery, Sale Regional Gallery, Philippines National Gallery, Monmouth County Art Gallery and the Frau Munz Collection in Stuttgart. He currently lives and paints in Maldon, Victoria.
