Pat
Kermode
Pat Kermode showed early
promise as a teenager but was expected to go to university and
get a ‘real
job’ — BA/Dip. Soc. Studs. (Melb) in Philosophy and Psychology.
She continued to paint exhibiting
and selling in group shows, small galleries and cafes. She painted
sets for theatre groups in Wonthaggi, Daylesford and Elwood.
In 1994 ‘Entropy’ was
purchased for the boardroom of The Royal Australian Chemical
Institute in Melbourne. After gaining her Ass. Dip of Art (CAAD),
she worked in Graphic Design until 1997 when she became
a freelance digital illustrator.
Her
paintings
and drawings
are an antidote to that tight computer work.
She now
lives in the Wombat State Forest, near Daylesford. In 2006
she retired to follow her creativity in painting, drawing and environmental
sculpture. She is currently studying B.Arts (Curtin Uni).
